Allegheny Valley Caravan No. 16

Allegheny Valley Caravan No. 16 provides fellowship and service to members of Syria Shrine in the Allegheny Valley area and anyone else who would like to be a member. We help with events, fund raising and the Annual Children’s Christmas Party.

The Caravan has existed since 1949, serving Nobles in the Allegheny Valley area of the city and beyond.

We meet quarterly in the unit meeting room at the Pittsburgh Shrine Center on the fourth Monday of January, April, July, October and December. Special meetings are held for the planning of the Annual Children’s Christmas Party.

Our major event each year is the Children’s Christmas Party on the second Sunday of December each year. Children and families enjoy an afternoon of food, presents for each of the children who registered and entertainment, such as a magician and the day finish with our annual bike raffle.

We also have our annual Lernerville Speedway event, a Pittsburgh Pirate game, summer picnic and Sam Beach wing night.

Prospective Allegheny Valley Caravan No. 16 members must hold a desire to serve children and the children’s hospitals.
